Inspiration
Initiative on Mother Tongue and Literacy Development is an agency that came up as an intervention strategy by some like-minded Bible translators who believed that the Lord has called them into the ministry of Bible translation and as such has accepted to work and got involved with a working Bible translation agencies in Nigeria.
Most of them if not all started working for their various mother tongue language projects and have received some basic trainings in Bible translation for many years before they were called to become members of the national Bible translation outfit in Nigeria. After working assiduously for many years slaving to reach out to the unsaved with the Word of God in their various languages, we came face to face with the reality.
We also intend to partner with other international Bible translation agencies. We need your support to propagate the Word of God in Nigeria and assist in the transformation of lives in a country where hatred and hate speeches and without love is causing death in its toll. Help us to make the younger generation to know that there is hope for mankind. For Jesus is the ultimate hope.
