IMTALD for stands for "Initiative on Mother Tongue and Literacy Development".
Our concern, passion and heart beat is about aiding the translated Scriptures, God's Word to every language in need of it in Nigeria. Working with global partners, we render services to the local churches in terms of training, developing orthography for languages, consulting, literacy workshops, project management all aiming at having a meaningful and accurate translation in the local mother tongue. The mission is a great task we are fulfilling according to God's will for humanity. We invite you to join us by any means as we push in spreading God's Word to every heart language.

Why Bible Translation?
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
Initiative on Mother Tongue and Literacy Development exist to help fulfil the Great Commission given by God in making His Word known and understood to languages through the tool of translation. It is the heart beat of God that people should get the Scripture in their own language, to bring about lives changes in amazing ways. People are transformed as they come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour thereby entering into a rightful relationship with God.
The Bible translation today is a tool that has to make a permanent impact in the world and leave an eternal life. The Bible into a language that people can understand is one of the most important tasks that can be completed. God gave us His Word for all ages.
