Benjamin Jukwey was trained as a Technical Student with intention to studying engineering but suddenly changed his mind in 2001 when he became a Christian. He went for Biblical studies at the school of Biblical studies Jos, where he obtained diploma in Bible and BA Biblical studies and also holds Post Graduate Diploma in Education from National Teachers’ Institute Kaduna.

His love for the Word of God caused him to proceed to study at the University of Jos Plateau State where he did MA Biblical Studies New Testament and is currently doing his PhD still in Biblical Studies New Testament at the University of Jos. Benjamin worked with the Laranto Church of Christ for a period of one year (1) and moved to Church of Christ Gidan Waya where he worked as a full time preacher and follow-up evangelist for four (4) years.

In 2011, he spear-headed the starting of the Bible Translation Project into Etulo Language - his mother tongue, where he worked as a full-time translation coordinator from 2011 until 2015 and joined the Nigeria Bible Translation Trust staff as a training officer/internship coordinator.

He also taught Greek and other Biblical courses at the School of Biblical Studies Jos. Benjamin is currently working as human resource manager with Initiative for Translation and Development of African Languages (ITDAL) and Etulo Language Project Advisor. Benjamin resides in Jos married to Mrs. Gloria Gammicit Jukwey and blessed with three children.
